Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

virginia landlord tenant law

if a landlord tenant relationship does not qualify to be covered under the Virginia Residential LAndlord Tenant Law what avenues of illegal eviction does a tenant have to base his claim on and can a landlord make a tenant move in 5 days without going to court? This is happening to my x-husband in the town of Jonesville, VA located in Lee County, VA. The landlord has also threatened that if my x-husband was not gone in 5 days that his new residence would be in the county morgue. Does he have any legal remedy??
