Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Virginia

My wife and I have had our house foreclosed on in May and we lost our house. We had two mortgages on the house. The house was sold at an auction for less than the value. We have tried to move on but now we have received a notice in the mail that we are being sued for the value of the seconf mortgage. We don't have the money to pay this and if we did we would still be in our house. We have had to relocate and are hardly makingit now. What options do I have or do I have to file for bankruptcy.

Thanks

Don

You could try to settle the case filed on the 2nd mortgage, you could try to defend it if there is any question about whether the plaintiff is the proper party, or you could file bankruptcy. See a lawyer promptly while you still have options.
