Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

I had 10 demerit points for driving and 1 safety point. My balance is like 9 but from what I hear demerit points are the only thing that count. Last week I got 2 tickets in the same week (I was careless but I've really gotten strict on my driving). With these two tickets I'm going to get 4 each so 8 added to my 10, I will have 18 getting me suspended. Is there anyway to stop this? I haven't gotten suspended yet because they have to wait till I get convicted I guess for my tickets and that will be in January so what can I do? How can I prepare myself.

I would suggest that you arrange for a consultation with an attorney with

experience in traffic matters and (preferably) with the court involved and

who after reviewing the relevant facts and law should be able to advise you as to any challenges that might be raised as to these charges or, perhaps, other options that may be available to you.
