Where and how do I obtain information in regards to contesting a speeding ticket I received in Fairfax county? The type of information I'm looking for is what device was used to capture my speed, calibration certificate, training records, etc...

You would request a subpoena duces tecum from the

clerk of the general district court where you are charged. She/he will provide you with that form. You would request that

it be directed to the Sheriff/County or City of Faifax..check your summons to see which..directing that individual produce the records you want at the time, date and place requested. You would have to request the records of the radar divice used on the date you were stopped by the arresting officer

(use his name) and the certificate of calibration.

and any records relating to his qualifications..etc. you should do this far in advance of your trial date..at least 15 days..
