Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

driving while suspened 2nd offense in VA

Yes I recently returned to VA (husband was stationed in Fort Riley, KS from 2006- 2009). I applied for a job and was told that I had something showing on my record. When I checked it was a ticket I recieved sometime 2007 that I had forgotten about. The information on the Newport News, Va court website says that I have 3 charges one for a Capias, driving while suspended 2nd offense and show cause. It says that it is a Misdemeanor, class 1. What does that mean and how can I resolve the issue so that I can get it cleared and my license back.

It means that you could possibly be facing some time in the Newport News slammer, and, therefore, as I previously suggested, you should be consulting a local traffic court defense counsel to determine how best to go about settling this matter with a minimum of adverse consequences.
