Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

i tried to get my licensed renewed in the state of va, it expired on my birthday 6/23/2011, I have been to dmv several times in the past months and this is the first ime i am hearing about two north carolina fines for speeding one in 1994 the other in 2002, i honestly thought i paid the ticket for the 2002 fine i dont remember the 1994. it will cost me 700.00 dollars to get both cleared so i can renew my license in va, i desperatly need my license for work and i am in active foreclosure i dont have that kind of money now, what can i do is the statue of limitations up for either please help

You may wish to contact the N. Carolina traffic courts involved which

supposedly adjudicated these matters to determine what their records reflect and whether there is any conflcit with that of the DMV as to the disposition

of either or both of these traffic charges.

And, if there is such conflct which favors your position, then DMV may

be willing to correct its record which may assist you in renewing your

driver's license in the Commonwealth.
