Legal Question in Traffic Law in Virginia

I was on probation for reckless driving and was told if I got another moving violation, my license would be suspended. Well, I got a speeding ticket and my license was suspended for 90 days..

I'm now about to start a job which requires me to drive because I live too far away for public transportation, therefore, without a license I am unable to work. I also have a baby on the way and cannot afford to not have a job.

During the hearing, I asked for a restricted license and explained my situation. The judge told me, "Too bad. Go pay your fine and surrender your license".

What steps do I need to take in order to get the suspension turned over to a restricted?

Appeal the case. Quickly. Very limited time. May already be too late.
