Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

My father made out his will in 1970 with the help of a neighborhood lawyer. It is a simple will. He and the lawyer friend took the will to a bank and had three people witness the signature. The will was not notorized nor signed by the lawyer. I have an appointment to have the will recorded in Fairfax County. Is the will recordable as it is signed?

Why wouldn't it be? (Only two witnesses with their signatures are required under Virginia law.)
