Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

My grandma just passed away. She had no will, at least one that is legal. My aunt and her did one on the computer, they said it still needed witnesses to sign it. When I looked at it it had a notarized affidavat. Her house was still not paid off and she has debt that needs to be paid. I just want to know how all that works and what can we do to save the house. My grandma had four kids, two grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. thanks

If she had no valid will, in Virginia her house would go to her heirs, which are her children and the children of any of her children who died before the grandmother. Someone needs to qualify as the administrator of the estate and find out what assets are available to pay off debts, pay off those debts in the order of their priority, and if there is enough to pay off all but the house, the house could possibly go the the heirs, but it might have to be sold if the heirs cannot keep up the payments.
