Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Virginia

My Grandmother and Grandfather while still living wrote several wills during her life time. My Grandmother wrote me several letters (noteing that as part of her last will and testiment) one per year for several years stating she wanted me to have a cabinet that belonged to her. It was not noterized and no witnesses although she did tell some people within the family she wanted me to have it. Well she died back in June 2010. My Mother who was her caretaker and gardian, My grandfather who is still alive has altimers, and my uncle is his guardian, and my mother is the live in caregiver. Neither my mom or uncle is allowing me to get the cabinet. Is there anything I can do to get what my grandmother wanted me to have?
