Titles of our cars

My husband died-no will my and his name is on the title of our car. I need to change the title to me only, but He had children from a previous marriage-why do I need to get them to sign on the form

VSA-24?

Re: Titles of our cars

Because your deceased husband's children by another marriage are entitled under Virginia law to claim a share of his estate and therefore they now share in the ownership of the vehicle which he jointly owned with you.
