Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia

I live in Va and im a workers comp case. i am at work but not in the position I was hired to do. My doctor says I'm not able to do that job again. Ive just been a gopher at my place of employment. i no longer have a job title or position and they are looking to settle my claim based on an impairement rating of 18%. What am I entitled to?

First, you should not settle your claim without consulting a lawyer. The 18% impairment rating is not the end of your case so if that is all they are offering you, they are really not offering you anything you are not already entitled to receive. The other question is: what exactly are you doing now? Are you receiving your pre-injury pay? Are you on light duty restrictions?
