Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia
who's responsible
If I am an independant contractor and do not carry workman's comp, can the contractor I am currently doing work for take a workman's comp deduction out of my paycheck?

Unless you're working for the contractor under an agreement which specifically provides for this type of deduction, it would not appear either appropriate or justifiable.
