Legal Question in Workers Comp in Virginia

I am a short haul truck driver and I suffered for months in pain until I could no longer take it. Went to doctor and she found out I had carpal tunnel in my left wrist. Was sent to a speacialist and he confirmed that I have it and he took x-rays. I was in so much pain he injected me with two different medications.in my wrist today.I was told if the pain gets worse to see a nerve doctor. I live in Virginia but the company I work for is based out of North carolina. Can I file a workers comp claim? Is it even worth trying?

If your employer is in NC, then you may have to bring your WC claim in NC. That is unless your employer has two or more employees regularly in service in Virginia. I assume part of your job is performed in Virginia. On the other hand if your job is performed in NC and the employer is in NC then you most likely have to bring your WC claim in NC. Also, it is tough to qualify a carpal tunnel claim in Virginia. If must be proven by clear and convincing evidence.
