"Cheque" and "RM" mean not United States. Laws of countries are unique to those countries, and in the United States each state has its own laws as well. This seems like a question pulled from a law school text book. If this is based on US law, and you are a US law student, you should consider dropping out or doing the work on your own. Law school is very simple especially compared to the practice of law when people are putting their freedom, family, or finances in your hands.

In any event - you'll feel better doing the work and being wrong than cheating and being right.
