Same gender relationships

I want to start a domestic partnership with a Russian man. If he comes here, what are the chances of his getting a green card?

I don't handle immigration law, but my guess is that a same sex relationship has no value or meaning under federal law (unfortunately). That's because same sex anti-discrimination laws don't exist under federal law - just state and local (so far).

I am hopeful that you receive a few more responses since, as I said, I don't handle immigration law. (I do handle discrimination).

He would need to get a green card based on something other than your relationship. Immigration law specifically does not recognize domestic partnership as a basis for immigration benefit. We should consult to discuss other options. At your service,
