can i legally get my ring back from my ex girlfriend if i still have the receipt and the ring is in my name?

But you gave it to her, right? That's a gift. It is hers.
You don't say whether it was an engagement ring. There is caselaw on that and a statute about gifts given in anticipation of marriage.
But I don't want to read more into your question than is there.
