Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

Re: in allgd DV Ass.4 - Is 5 day house guest a year prior DV?

There's a woman who I watched her child for free. She worked long hours and sometimes I parked my motor home at her place. Months later she and her daughter stayed at my residence for five days between residences as she was moving. A year later she assaulted me over a car deal she was unhappy with and was unwinding. She much later called the police and said I pushed her down. I was found guilty but the judge made a mistake in listening to the evidence and there was an ''arrest of conviction.'' There was never any romance or anything else that could be considered ''domestic.'' Question: Under such a short term living situation should it be considered ''domestic violence?''

Yes. RCW 26.50.010 shows the domestic violence law applies to "adult persons who are presently residing together or who have resided together in the past." http://www.leg.wa.gov/RCW/index.cfm?fuseaction=section§ion=26.50.010
