Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

Am I being blackmailed and what can I do?

My 2 business partners (LLC) voted me out of a company I formed. I walked away without a fight because I was threatened (verbally- no proof) with public exposure of a heretofore hidden sexual addition problem. They have collected information about my actions and shown it to other people; former business associates. I believe they mean to got to my current clients with it if I don't sign over rights to software I wrote years before with another company. Is this ''officially'' extortion, and what can I do about it?

You need to go to the authorities immediately. You may have to take your lumps with some exposure but your "partners" may have to face criminal charges for extortion. DO NOT DELAY. If you are not comfortable, see your own attorney first. Otherwise, make an appointment to see the prosecutor personnel personally. Good Luck!
