Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

My Ex booyfriend had called the police because I broke up with him and said I hit him. I asked to speak to a lawyer and refused to speak. I started to walk, and let me make that clear WALKED, not ran, into my home and was tackled to the ground by two police officers. I am 5'5 and female. I feel let down by the police. He has made 3 false police reports against me in the past year! I do not wish ill will upon him but I do not think this was fair at all and would like justice to be served. I recently found out he has multiple DV cases against him from past women. He also is withholding my dog and things from me. My court date is in a couple weeks. I am suffering from post dramatic stress due to the incident. Please help me.

I'm sorry to say this, but your situtation is not unique. You probably know now there when there is a DV allegation, the police make an arrest in almost every case. The fact that you have been arrested and charged does not mean that you will be convicted, or that you won't have a chance to investigate more in to his background and tell your side of what happened.

You should call an experienced lawyer who works in the court where you have been charged.
