Legal Question in Criminal Law in Washington

Wash. St. Class C Felony

I was in Possession of Stolen Property..but I was never arrested (Ticketed). I'm confused..if it were a felony, wouldn't I have been thrown in Jail? I'm trying to get a new job and this is hanging over me. It's been Seven Years since this happened.

Just because something is a felony does not mean you will be arrested and/or put in jail. What the court (and ideally the police) look to is the danger you present and the risk that you will not appear for court. Possession of stolen property presents neither of these issues. Also, I would not worry about this offense. I'd need to double check to be certain but I think that the Statute of Limitations on the case is five years.
