Legal Question in DUI Law in Washington

DUI #3 Moving to a different state

My WA State D.L. is currently suspended for 3 years but Im planning on moving into Oregon. Could I get an Oregon License much sooner than that?

Re: DUI #3 Moving to a different state

That will be up to Oregon. The states have an interstate compact re: license suspensions, whereby they are supposed to comply (for lack of a better word) with the suspension entered by another state pursuant to a DUI matter. Thus, if WA suspends your DL for 3 years, other states should carry out that suspension. The true question is whether you would be able to get, for instance, an ignition interlock license in WA. If so, you could probably apply for one in OR if they have them (some states, like Hawaii, do not).
