Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

im 18 and i want to leave my parents home without letting them know. I guess its like "running away", only i don't want to come back for a while and i think i can legally do that. Do they have any control over returning me back home. and if they call the cops, what would happen?

Since you are 18, you are an adult, and can leave and never return if you like. It is not "running away" in any legal sense, as it would be if you were 17 or under. Your parents have no control over you to force a return. If they call the cops, they would have to report you as a "missing person" for the police to even think about getting involved. If they report you as an adult "runaway" the police will tell them that as an adult, you can do what you wish and the police cannot do anything to get you back.
