Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

My boyfriend and I got into a huge fight last week after school, with yelling and screaming, and he ended up grabbing my arm and being as we were at our high school the admin got involved and so did the police. Our only issue now are that we are both 17 and there is a protection order thingy against him for grabbing my arm. all i want is to be able to see him again, not wait 2 years before i can even talk to him.

Welcome to the nanny state. You probably attend a high school where you have learned that government is your friend and the more government there is the better. You probably thought that calling 911 was the way to solve things. Your high school may not have given you a love for liberty and your high school most likely did not teach you that, after the basic requirements of government are met, there is an inverse relationship to the amount of government and the amount of liberty you have. You see, the government thinks it knows better than you and that you are not capable of taking care of yourself. Does that make you feel better?

If not, call my office in Olympia. (360) 943-6960. There may be several ways to address this problem. The best would be a constitutional approach.

If you said things, however, you may find that your own words will make it more difficult.
