Legal Question in Family Law in Washington
I want to get my child back i signed a notarized temperary guardianship paper for grandparents to take care of my daughter for a little while. now they dont want to give her back and i just want to know what papers i need or if i need anything at all. i went to the court house in my area and they said since it wasnt filed through the court that there is nothing holding me back from taking my child. can i really just take her when she comes over to visit and not give her back?

In situations like that people generally consider the idea of police involvement when a personal request to the other party does not work. The pitch to the police is often something like: Officers, I am going to go take my child back from a temporary voluntary placement with my parents. If possible, officer, I would like a civil escort to be on standby to ensure no violence that may affect the child or me.
That is VERY much a general statement - your situation is unique.
