Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Child support

My daughter is almost 19, she dropped out of school her senior year at age 17, then moved out of the house at 18 and moved in with her uncle, she is now back in school and finishing her senior year. She applied for food stamps and now they are coming after me for child support. Am I obligated to pay?

Re: Child support

If your daughter was over 18 when she left your home then there would be no basis for DCS to be seeking child support under WA law, unless there are unusual circumstances you did not provided in your question (e.g. developmental disability, etc).
