Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

Custody/ChildSupport

My husband ex-wife lives in Washington, we live in Nevada. She has custody of the two children. One of the children will be coming to live with us, through mutual consent. My husband works for the government and therefor his child support is automaticly withdrawn. How do we change this?

Re: Custody/ChildSupport

If there is a parenting plan already in place, you need to have the court sign the new agreed parenting plan, and order on modification of parenting plan. At the same time, you need to have the court sign the new Order of Child Support, which will reflect the amount that needs to be paid.

In alot of cases, when the parent relinquishing the child finds out that child support will drop drastically, he/she backs out.

You need to prepare, or have prepared by an attorney, a Stipulation and Order modifying the latest custody and support order to reflect the parties' agreement. If you have any questions regarding this, please feel free to contact me.
