Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

How do I figure out a divorce buy out in Washington State? We have been Married for over 11 years and he thinks that he doesn't have to equally split our Assets. He made me move out of the family home, And all I left with was a bed, dinning room table and chairs, and personal belongings, and 2 vehicles. He has everything else plus 8 vehicles. What do I do and where do I stand in this mess?

If the assets are as lopsided as you say, then depending on your income earning capabilities and your husband's income earning capabilities, I think you may stand a good chance at getting attorney's fees awarded to you. Thus, my suggestion that you immediately go out and get counsel to represent you.

That said, to answer your initial question, there is no formula by which to figure out a "buy out" as you put it. Each case is different and each case has to be measured by the facts that are unique to it. That said, as a general proposition, similar types of cases get similar types of outcomes, but I would need to know a lot more to answer any better. I think your best bet is to invest a little money, hire an attorney to consult with you and at least get an idea of what your options are.
