Legal Question in Family Law in Washington

late child support payments

For 5 years ex-wife pays $50 monthly child support directly to me. After constant monthly reminders to her, she is always late in paying on average by 2 weeks. Im frustrated and tired with the situation. I need help in recalculating payment amount and getting her to pay on time. We're both remarried, with full time jobs. Before I hire an Attorney, is there anything I can do to fix this? Thank you for your time.

Re: late child support payments

You could negotiate an adjustment to child support and present an agreed order in ex parte, you could ask DCS to become you support collection agent, you could ask for a conference board with DCS (after they become your collection agent) to do an adjustment to Child Support or you could file for an adjustment with the Superior Court.
