Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Washington

My wife won 10 grand on slots at the casino. Her friend put the money in the slots and let my wife play the machine. Now that my wife won 10 grand her friend claims the winnings are hers and that we're stealing her money. The casino wrote a check out to my wife and her "friend" is threatening us with a lawsuit and constantly writing harassing emails. What should we do?
