Legal Question in Immigration Law in Washington

4 years and 1 day?

Iwas told that ( if a green card holder re-enter the state with a re-enrty permit) will need 4 years and 1 day to apply for naturalization. my question is : is that time needed from the date of re-entry issuance or from the actual date of re-enter the state..Iam realy confused about that...can you explain to me please..thanks

Re: 4 years and 1 day?

This is from the actual date of re-entry, not the date of issuance of the document, which is irrelevant. All this true in the situation where a LPR interrupted continuous residence in the USA, and then reentered after being abroad for an extended period of time.
