non compete agreements

I work for a company that regularly uses non-compete agreements. The 2 year agreement states that I cannot work in any capacity for a competing company for the entire state. Our industry is very small and specialized, about fifteen companies in our state. I was not given any bonus for signing this agreement, nor any signing bonus at all. I get base salary + commission. Under Washington law, is there much of a chance to break the non-compete due to being too broad with not enough compensation?

Thanks

Non compete agreements

Its difficult to state with certainty if you can or cannot. It depends on the contract language, the uniqueness of the proprietary information and the covenant must be reasonable as to time and geography. Its a vague standard.

If you wish to call, we can discuss it.
