Illegal Accounting and Business Practices

I feel I am forced to resign from my new job.The president is making unethical accounting entries. This is in all four companies that I am responsible for the financial reporting. I have complained to the owner. Illegal imigrants. Discriminations. What recourse would I have when I resign?

It is best not to resign, but to encourage the employer to fire you. Resigning is likely to disqualify you from receiving unemployment benefits. You will also have a better chance of succeeding on a wrongful termination suit if you are fired. Make sure you voice your opposition to your employer's illegal conduct through dated, written correspondence [e.g., a memo] -- and keep a copy.
