Legal Question in Legal Ethics in Washington

Hello there,

I have this question?

For example, I am a CPA and the owner of the corporation, under which I want to hire a full time attorney to represent our clients in court, will I be able to do that? And what is the best for me to do so?

Thank you,

Alex

My initial reaction is your employee/attorney would probably have a conflict of interest as he is representing your clients - ostensibly - on a tax issue in which your corporation was involved.

It would be difficult - nee impossible to get a knowing, complete waive of conflict of interest.

See for example Eriks vs. Denver.
