Legal Question in Personal Injury in Washington

My Adt security system although system check was done that night failed, actually according to the company, they accidently installed the digital alarm when it should have still been analog, anyway home was broken into and my family was brutally beaten by baseball bats and torchured for 45 min after entering distress code. It could be said bny them that the same amount of injury would have been inflicted in the ampount of time police would have taken, but I got the alarm due to previous attempt at home and if system check didn't work in past we would stay at hotel. My question is this although we signed contract limiting their liability wouldn't the contract be void due to the fact that we never recieved what we signed for which was a working properly installed alarm?
