Re: what should i do about a baby that was born.

You could call your local police department and let them know the situation especially the part about this womens history with Child Protective Services and they can attempt to do a welfare check at the home.

A welfare check is when the police come to the door and ask if everythings okay inside. Of course the woman may shun the cops and turn them away or not even answer the door, but this is a step in the right direction.

If there is enough evidence that someone inside the home is in immediate need of urgent medical attention, the police may be able to enter the house without permission (this is called an exigent circumstance). They may also have enough information from what you know to secure a search warrant from a judge. But be careful and dont speculate or embellish on the details. Tell the police only what you have seen and only what you know to be true.

Failing to provide adequate medical care for a newborn baby is child neglect in this state and it is a criminal offense. Im not saying that this is what has occurred, but at least call the police and get them involved. This way the suspicions you have can be laid to rest.
