Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Washington

We discovered our crawlspace had 11,000 gallons of sewer, all simply because our builders did not put a cap on the pipe. Should they be responsible for the damages? We bought the house brand new 6 years ago.

If you can get an expert to testify that the builders should have done this in the normal course of building the home, and you can prove it was not there when they built it, then I think you may have a good case. I suggest you consult a local attorney who deals with construction defect cases, and even if they do not offer a free consultation, it would be worth your while to pay a consultation fee to find out your options.
