Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Washington

Is it legal for my parents to take my stuff away from me if I am 18? I am still in high school, and they might try to use this as a punishment. I also want to know if it matters if they have bought it for me or if I bought it for myself.

Your parents do not have a right to take that which is yours if you are an 18 year old adult. It matters not who bought it for you, so long as whatever it was, is yours. Your options are to either sue them to retrieve possession of your property or negotiate with them (this is what I would suggest). Ultimately though, it sounds as if this may be a good time for you to consider moving out on your own to avoid this type of situation in the future.
