Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington

To be certified or not to be certified

I need to know if a letter suspending a drivers licence has to be sent certified mail? And if so, then wouldnt the departmet of licencing be required to keep the certified card that you sign and return? And if the letter was not sent certified, and it gets lost, how can they say that you should know your licence was suspended? I need to know the answer to this. Because their is no way of being certain the letter was recieved if not sent certified. So if you could pretty please answer this question for me, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you very much

More information is needed to answer this question. Was the charge DWLS 1st degree, DWLS 2nd degree or DWLS 3rd degree? The answer to your question depends on what you were charged with.
