Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington

how to fight tickets that are not yours

I live in Washington state. Florida has placed two FTA's and has had Washington suspend my license. I've never been to Florida, so I did not receive traffic tickets there (speeding). How do I approach a Washington judge to rescind the suspension?

Re: how to fight tickets that are not yours

Greetings!

You wil have to contact the Florida Courts where the tickets are located tosee exactly when and where these tickets were issued. Unless someone stole your driver's license or portrayed themselves as you to the cops while not having a license on them, you are stuck with these tickets. There could also be a simple problem with an erroneous number being entered in the computer in Florida. But you will have to contact the Florida courts to straighten thi sout as Washington only reacts to what another state tells them. Both states belong to the Interstate Compact on Drivers' Licenses that requires reporting between states when a license holder of one state gets a ticket in another state. Good Luck!
