Legal Question in Traffic Law in Washington

rear end collision

My son was in a rear end collision. His fault an Officer showed up and wrote him a ticket but said he would mail it to him in two weeks. Well we did receive it in about 4 weeks. There where no witnesses and no details on the ticket itself. My insurance im sure will go up just with the collision. Is there anyway my Son can get out of this. Help

Re: rear end collision

You would have to request a contested hearing and then request discovery to see what the cop said had happened. These matters are not easily defended by a lay person. Get a good traffic lawyer to defend your son. Good Luck!
