Grandparents death

Both my grand parents died with in 6 months of each other, I got a letter saying I am one of the benif, but I am unable to get any info from the named attorney, how long does it take to close estate on a person, they died 1 1/2 yrs ago, they had a big estate.

With larger estates it could take that long. Did they live in Washington? If so, or anywhere else for that matter, you can review the probate file, which is a public record. You'll need to find out the County where the probate is filed. You could also hire the services of an attorney to find out about the estate and to let the Personal Representative know that you would like to receive notice and copies of all filed probate documents, which would include the Will.
