Legal Question in Workers Comp in Washington

My attorney gives medical advice

I have had issues with my attorney, I do not feel she does anything for me and have had several issues that lead me to believe she is not on my side. I cannot find a new attorney until I fire her. What happens in the interim in regards to decisions by labor and industries. If I fire her what do I do, how do make sure my check comes to me

Re: My attorney gives medical advice

All you need to do is write the Department of Labor and Industries and inform them you are no longer represented by xxx and that your mailing address should be changed to xxxxx (your address) You will then be responsible for all deadlines etc. and your checks will be sent to you, along with any other communications issued by the department. The transition between attorneys can be fast, so I would not let that concern you. If you wish to discuss this with me or my staff, we are at 800-599-9226. Thank you and good luck.
