Minors and Child Support

A 16 Year old boy and 16 year old girl have a baby and do not live together, what are the laws about child support and any thing else concerning this issue? What are the fathers rights?

The rights are the same as if they were adults,--he is responsible for paying child supprt and helping in raising the child.

You may have to go to court to make sure that his parental rights are formally recognized, but that shouldn't be too much trouble.

Your best bet is to get the parents' rights and obligations spelled out in writing, so that there's no misunderstanding later.
