Does a legal advertisement in a newspaper holdup in court

We saw an ad in a news paper for a 98 cavalier for $995, we went to the dealership and he says he is not selling it to us for that. That the paper messed up and has several times before. There is no statment that they aren't responsible for mistakes on the advertisement. Would this ad hold up in court and get us the car for $995.

If you were "baited and switched" you might have a cause of action under your state's consumer rights law. You should probably contact the Attorney General for your state and let him know that you are having problems with the ads run by this dealer. They may be willing to take some action.
