Legal Question in Family Law in West Virginia

Repeal adoption

I was adopted by a step parent when I was 11 years old in WV. Now 24, are there procedures in which I can get that adoption repealed because I was to young to give objections in the court and I wish to be disassociated with the step parent?

Re: Repeal adoption

No, not likely, whether West Virginia or Virginia. (Adoption laws as a general principle simply to not give adoptees the right to later "disadopt" their adoptive parent(s)----at least as far as I know.)
