applying for green card

i am trying to apply for my green card but i was arrested for driving on a suspended license and bad check that was worth $700 (misdemeanor charges) would that get me denied for green card. (i am a legal Alien here on political asylum)

No you should not...you can have up to three misdemenors. But get your records expunged.
