Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in West Virginia

medical procedure explained to me was not the procedure that was performed and t

I was seen at a branch office. I was told what the procedure would entail and scheduled two days later at the doctor's main office. The doctor saw me for 2 minutes, his only words were '' that is a cosmetic procedure'', he asked the nurse to ''see if her insurance will cover it''. She made a call and I was covered, I thought I was having the procedure explained to me. I had a chalazion and told would be incised, drained, scraped of accumulation. He bored a hole the size , depth of a new pencil eraser into front of lower eyelid. Left a 3.5 mm scar, destroyed eyelash folicles . If I had known this result, I would not have let him do this. I have since researched chalazion, procedure is performed on the inside of the eyelid, is in- office procedure, no scarring or loss of lashes.Eyelashes were not even involved in chalazion. Cannot use mascara to hide scar, no lashes to apply to. My body has been violated. Have had two corrective surgeries to repair, now have minimal lashes, scar tissue. Wear corrective lenses -4.75 each eye, camoflauge discomfort to lenses.
