affidavit of foreign judgement

i need to send an affidavit of foreign judgement and a notice of filing of foreign judgement to an ex tenant that i won a judgement against for owing rent. he lived in ohio but works in wv. i want to attach his wages but since he works in wv i need to have the case transferred in order to attach the wages and was told by the civil court that i needed to send those 2 documents to him before proceeding with the garnishment. could you please tell me what i need to include in those documents ( 1.affidavit of foreign judgement 2. notice of filing of foreign judgement) or samples of documents of this type. thank you.

Re: affidavit of foreign judgement

You need to get a certificate of judgment from the court in which you got the judgment. That can then be filed in the other court under the full faith and credit section of the US constitution. Once you have that certificate of judgment the new court will treat it like you are filing the judgment in the other court.

Good Luck.
