Legal Question in Sexual Harassment in West Virginia

Employeer sexual harassment liability

My wife went to work for a n ambulance company. She was put in a situation where she was alone with another man, her supervisor for overnight shifts. Things began to look suspicious. A company meeting was held and they were not suppose to work together anymore. The supervisor in question continued to schedule them together. Sure enough , an affair was uncovered resulting in an impending divorce. We have two small children who are suffering. It is against company policy for supervisors and E.M.T.s to date. I think due to a lack of action by the company to stop this problem the ambulance company is liable. What do you think?

Re: Employeer sexual harassment liability

I believe that the company would have some liability; however, your wife would have to bring the action and prove that she was harassed.
